As a high-performance papermaking functional filler, talc powder optimizes paper properties, printability and production stability to improve overall product quality and production efficiency.
Talc powder improves paper smoothness and reduces surface friction, enhancing ink fluidity and machine runnability for offset and gravure printing. It optimizes printing tone and quality, reduces surface mottling and ink show-through, and delivers consistent printing results.
Talc powder boosts paper dimensional stability and thermal resistance. Its low hardness provides good softness and clean cutting edges, suitable for label paper, carbonless copy paper and other specialty papers. Its lipophilic property reduces tinting and ensures uniform double-sided coloration.
With excellent chemical stability and strong adsorption to pulp resin and organic contaminants, talc powder prevents resin flocculation and reduces deposits on dryers, doctor blades, forming fabrics and press felts.
Talc powder minimizes paper spots, pinholes and other defects to raise finished paper yield. It also cuts equipment cleaning frequency and unplanned downtime, improving production efficiency and reducing costs. Its core strengths include low filler loss, high retention rate, effective resin control, less deposition, fewer defects and stable continuous production.
Applicable to kraft pulp and nitrite pulp production, 0.1%–1% talc powder dosed during or after washing and bleaching effectively inhibits equipment resin deposition. It is also widely used in chemical pulp mills for coated and uncoated paper production.
Smooth SZ series talc powder features outstanding water dispersibility for uniform pulp distribution. It can partially replace titanium dioxide to improve paper opacity, accelerate dewatering and enhance transverse strength, ideal for high-grade label paper, carbonless copy paper and other premium paper products.
